...but at least I got five hours sleep this night. I've just taken some paracetamol against the tooth/ear/face-ache and I will try to get some more sleep. Rickard isn't working today and neither is my mum, so it would be a perfect day to have the baby, but I have no great hope. I'm actually getting more and more convinced that there will never come out a baby from my belly.
Yesterday I watched "Hair" on video together with my friend Anna and sewed some. It was really nice even though we didn't talk much. I have now felled and sewn all the seams on the body of Vendela's new dress, and hemmed it as well. She wants the hanging sleeves lined with white so I'm going to see if I have something at home that I can use. I have neither the money nor the energy to go out an get something to line them with.
Anna was working on her golden hairnet (same fabric as my german hairnet). She's making an early 14th century german hairnet, which has a rather strange shape. Look at the woman to the left and you see what I mean. Therefore her hairnet takes a lot more construction and requires several layers as well as padding, in this case with wool yarn sewn to one of the layers. She admitted being tired with it and is going to start on shoes for my kids, made after the Bocksten bog man's shoes. I can make shoes, but it's hard on my hands and she's so much better and also really fast because she's done so many so I prefer paying her to make them. She made my late 13th c shoes which can be seen here.
