I love students

I think I make a post like this at the beginning of every semester, and now it's time again.
But I really do love them. Lecturing and meeting students makes me happy. My body is in a bad shape now so my mornings are usually horrible, but still, seeing that at least some of them really appreciate the work I do is so worth it. Even if it's at 9 am.

I can imagine that you are an inspiring teacher :) It is indeed nice to meet the new students every autumn. This years bunch seemed very eager and supportive of each other. The rest of the year I mostly meet the "bothersome students with self caused unnecessary problems", and that is not so very inspiring.

Yes! I know exactly what you mean, I don't know how many times I've posted in my own journal about how much I love my students, too, but I can never help it, because I've felt it so many times. I'll really miss it this year, as I'm not teaching this year. *Fingers crossed for next year!*
