The event was nice and relaxed and while Maja took up most of my time she was cheerful and nice while doing this. I passed tha first part of my Master's test in the tailor's guild and I now have a great lust to start sewing on the second part again. I need more, gorgeous 16th century outfits.
I managed to find the time to take in the blue peasant gown so I could wear it this weekend too:





With a white apron and pinned on sleeves, and without the red outer cap.

You, of course, look beyond fabulous or as my daughter said you look "Gowjuss" (5 year old speak for gorgeous in case you missed that) Maja is just too precious and now my little girl has to have hose too! She immediately damanded to have some on seeing Maja looking too cute for words :D

Well, that is good, isn't it? I've heard of people having trouble making their kids wear accurate historical clothing, but maybe that has never been a problem for you?

I am a bad Mommy I get mostly hand me downs of your basic SCA uniform (t'tunics and sweatpants). I've never really made my kids garb. Except for the little entari and gomlek I made my littlest one. I never did make it to the shalwar for her... I am baaaaaaad Mommy. She loves to play dress up though and is an absolute angel when I do fittings. (I've made halloween costumes) Won't stand still so I can braid her hair but she'll stand still and let me poke her...uh, pin her into stuff.
