The first snow!

It's cold and light outside, the sun as just risen above the hills and it is snowing!! Miniature flakes falling straight down; like they do when it's well below freezing and no wind.
It's beautiful.

here it is something between snow and rain falling down. leaving a wet mess on the ground... but saturday was pretty and sunshiney with snow in the garden for the first time!

We had our first snow about a two weeks ago, but today is the first day when it covers the ground and trees. It's really beautiful even though the sun isn't shining.
