I finished a new skirt today, from charcoal thin wool that I got from [livejournal.com profile] herzeloyde. I thought it looked very secretary-y so I decided to take some photos where I wear it with my recently acquired puffed-sleeved blouse with a bow at the neck.
So, what do you say; can I wear this in public or do I look like someone from the cast of a german adult-oriented movie?

And talking about Germany, how does one spend 3 hours in Berlin on a Wednesday afternoon and what clothing does one bring on a trip that involves both a meeting at the swedish embassy and beer-drinking with archaeologists?

I like it, but then I haven't seen any german adult films, so don't know if you'd fit in there ;-)

I'd say comfortable dressy for the day, unless you can pack your jeans to change into later.

I will probably travel in jeans and change at the hotel for the embassy meeting. The skirt is comfortable enough to party in, so I guess I can bring something less prone to get visible stains in my smaller bag if we don't go home after the meeting.

Berlin has a wonderful chocolate store; warmly recommended. Can't remember which square it's on, currently, but it's probably look-up-able.

I like the outfits. My thought is that you would have been right at home in the office in the 80's so thus has a nice retro feel about it :)

When I get back to Berlin to visit with my family my goal is to find the Lipperheide costume library and take a look at some their manuscripts and early trachtenbücher. It's attached to the museum somehow.

I think the blouse is more of a traffic hazard than the skirt. Or maybe it's the contents...
