While the fashion blog keeps me both from sewing, writing properly on LJ and working as much as I should I at least learn, or begin to learn, new skills. I have now, for the first time cut out pictures from backgrounds. It's here, in a post about shoe fashions. The grey shoes are the first I did, so they look so-so, but I got better. With training (and maybe a manual instead of trial-and-error?) I may even become good at it. But I don't think I will get that much training. Still; it's fun to learn something new.

What are you using for photo manipulation?

ArcSoft PhotoStudio. It came with the scanner and it's OK.

Those cut-outs look nice and neat :) Practice is the only way to learn, too, so have at it! Do it just for fun with your fashion shots of period clothes in not so period surroundings (if you need to manufacture opportunities for learning, that is).

Yes I have been wanting to try that.
