Ruby slippers

Maja's new favourite movie is The wizard of Oz. So now we both want to be Glinda and have the ruby slippers :)



I have been doing some looking around, Custom Sparkles make good replicas, but probably waay out of my price range. Maybe I will have to settle for these:



Or maybe just accept that I can't have a pair of ruby slippers.

I know you live in Sweden, but here in Texas, in the fall, my local Target stores carry red sequined shoes....for around 13 US dollars. Right now, they're carrying pink sequined shoes, but they certainly won't work, will they?

Of course you must have a pair of ruby slippers! You and Maja both. And I think the ballerina versions will look fine, even if they're not identical. They are red and sparkly!

Get some red shoes, glue on some sequins or sequinned stretch fabric? Could be a fun project for Maja, but perhaps not so fun for the furniture :)

(I just remember I have some Indian slippers which are red with lots of sparkly on them (like this type: http://www.sandalstore.co.uk/style-indian-slippers-c-1_32.html), and immigrant shops often have sparkly shoes, but I don't know if there are many immigrant shops where you live? (I have never found any). Also, dance footwear could be something to look at, I think.)

If you google Kurt Geiger Diamond you'll see the shoes I wanted but I can't find a place that sells them now. Oh well!
