On-line gaming
Feb. 25th, 2008 08:20 pmIt is now two hours since dinner was served and Rickard has not yet been able to break away from his Lord of the Rings on-line game. I am NOT happy.
To be fair he made the first half of the pancakes, but I am getting increasingly annoyed with him being stuck in the game.

*collects self*
Seriously, when Chris was gaming hardcore, he'd be stuck in a game for upwards of 8 hours. I'm not even joking. They'd go on raids, or he'd make other in-game commitments and he was simply unavailable to me and the kids. so I ABSOLUTELY feel your pain.
that was why I had to make him quit playing totally. He could not moderate his behavior and it was destroying the family. (Especially because I couldn't drive. I can't tell you how many times we didn't have groceries in the house becuase I couldn't go get them and he just wouldn't.)

Date: 2008-02-26 12:05 am (UTC)My cousin once told me of how her ex-boyfriend was so addicted to a computer game that she couldn't distract him from it at all. She tried doing a strip tease, laying across his keyboard naked, unzipping his pants... Nothing worked, he was addicted to it like a drug.
