and any other brits who might now: I've been watching the Champion League semifinal (there's a short break before the extra time starts) and listening to the songs, trying to make out the words. And it got me thinking about this: In Sweden we have a (very rarely used these days) "song" that goes: "After the game you're going to die!" (directed at the other team's supporters)
Given the history of british football I assume there must be at least one like it in Britain too; but how does it go? And is it the same for all teams? (like "sing when you're winning..etc.)

Dozens of them.

Some of the most offensive ones recall the Munich air disaster in the case of Manchester United and the Holocaust in the case of Tottenham Hotspur (which is perceived, rightly or wrongly, to have many Jewish supporters in its ranks). Lovely people, some of our footie fans.

I don't know which chant you heard last night, but some favourite anti-Chelsea and anti-Liverpool chants can be seen here:

(This link carries a VERY strong good taste warning)

I wasn't watching the semi final - went to bed early after a long day, fetching Bess back from the airport.

An all-England final in Moscow (or rather, a US-owned team against a Russian-anti-Putin-expat-owned team) should be good for a few laughs though!

Thanks. It wasn't specifically one I heard, I just started to think about it. I heard teh song that we know as "Land of crisps and lager" from the Spitting image football sketch, but they were probably singing something else ;)
I will check out your links later. Good taste isn't really something I think about when it comes to football. We have a version of the "Allez, allez-song" that you find almost everywhere that starts with: "From the sauna you hear a shout: suck my **** Olle Goop". Olle Goop is a famous and successful swedish´driver of trotting horses, but why he should be mentioned in this connection I hav eno idea. I never shout that part but join in in the Allez allez.
