A good thing with growing big girls

- They grow out of their old garb so I have to make new
+ They are tall enough to use my 13th/early 14th century garb. Since it's supposed to be loose it doesn't matter that I weigh a little more than 20 kilos more than they do.

This means that what I have to make for the twins is:
1 shift each
2 pairs of sewn wool stockings each

And Rickard has to make shoes for Valeria, since Vendela can borrow a pair from herzeloyde.

Valeria wants 16th century garb so that's probably want to start on next, or at least after the shifts.

Of course Maja has grown out of virtually everything she owns, so for her I need to make both a couple of new shifts, a couple of stockings and at least two new tunics. And a hood I think. If there is time I will make her green 16th century overgown.

It's the curse of a having a 6 year old. I've come to the conclusion that I only make Gene her costuming and shoes 2 weeks before an event otherwise she just out grows them.

I then donate them to poor and outcast re-enactors who have little girls.

It does keep my hand stitching skills up though.
