Today the kids and I are going to my stepfather's, the house were I grew up. It will be fun, I just hope there will be sometime to wrok on my lecture, I'm getting seriously stressed about that.
We will hopefully have time to start going through the old workshop, which has had tools and stuff crammed into it for the last 100 years. I know that there are two foot-driven lathes made entirely from wood in there, but apart from that I have no idea. Lots of junk I suspect, but also a lot of treasures.
Or we could look into the even older smithy.

I get that glazed look and a bit of drool escapes when people start talking about 'the old workshop'. Wooden foot lathes.....
Smithy.............

I am so glad that I am not the only one that feels this way.

The foot driven lathe got me and the smithy just sealed the deal.

It's a 'Show me the money' sort of thing.
"You had me at 'lathe'"

Ancient tools are so pretty. Worn wooden handles and things. We have all my granpa's tools in the basement at Värmdö. I love them.
