I'm teaching a class on early history (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia, India + Crete) today at three and I'm beginning to have a very fluttering stomach.
I realize that to you people who work regularly as teachers it seems a little overreacting to feel anxious before teaching, but that's just the way it is for me. Even though I love it when I do it and it usually goes well I can't help being nervous.
Now it feels strange too, because I haven't been working since april and university sometimes feels very far away. Added to the nervousness is being away from Maja who might get hungry and want her mummy. We have milk in the freezer and her dad is perfectly capable of taking care of her. But still.
On thursday I'm having next class and then Rickard works so I will bring Maja along. Probably she will sleep or at least be happy most of the time in her baby sling and if she doesn't nothing worse will happen than that I will have to nurse her during class. Fortunately I can talk and nurse at the same time.

Now it's less than an hour till I have to leave.

I don't think it's over-reacting at all - of course, I'm only a two-week-old teacher, but I've heard veteran teachers say they get nervous too! Good luck!

And that's the sad difference between Amerians and Europeans. If a teacher did that here, people would freak the hell out.

They might, but I don't think so. Nursing in public is so accepted here in Sweden that objecting to it would be socially awkward.

I agree with you. That's what I mean. It's doubtful anyone there would say anything. HEre it might make the nightly news. *sigh*
