Thanks for all encouragement yesterday. it was not that I ever wanted to look like Gwyneth Paltrow it was just the realization that this huge overweight that "one must understand that she wanted to loose" was probably less then I weigh. It is deceptive to talk about twenty kilos of overweight, because anyone would think that that was horrible, I mean: I wouldn't want to gain twenty kilos on top of my weight, and than you realized that this horrible weight is what I weigh.

Well, according to BMI I should loose about 52 kilos for a normal weight. ;)
Good thing I don't want to weigh that little.
Although -I- could probably feel better if I were to loose 20 kilos.

Apart from that Gwyneth will lose her job if she gains weight, I think this has a lot to do with what you're used to look like. If I gained 20 kilos I would have a BMI of 27. A little overweight but not obese by any means. But I would not feel like myself anymore and do my best to lose these extra 20 kilos, since I've always been thin and I'm used to it. However, if those 20 kilos had been there forever, it would probably feel equally strange to lose them and become a thin person.

True, I felt like I was vanishing when I excersised myself down to 92 kilos some years ago. Absolutely skinny for me compared to what I was used to. :)
