Sewing plans
Aug. 13th, 2008 05:53 pmAs usual after Visby I have ideas for new garb. Since I have so much garb it is not for whole new outfits, but for a kirtle to be worn under both this dress and this gown:

Of course I need to make proper headwear for it, and a new goller, since I got drunk at Kalmar Castle and lost it; I may have to shorten the bodice too, since ten years ago I tended to make my bodices too long, despite the fact that I have a very long upper body.
More information will be given and possibly a (short, obviously) dress diary created when I finish my husband's new linen shirt which I started on the last days of Visby medieval week.
Another project is to make a "Cis-gown", as Valeria calls it; that is a gown of the type
fluffy_badger wears, for her. It will be a part of her 14th birthday present and we have already bought the fabric.

I've decided I'll use the wood workshop in school to make a large embroidery frame. I really long to make a gown with a enbroidered sleeve like Myra's. And other things too, like outer clothes. :)
