There has been some discussion about the current 80s revival, especially on sarahbellems journal. So I thought I should show you all a picture of how I looked 18 years ago, in september 1986.

Coo! Glad in 1986 I was a little shy eleven year old in long pigtail plaits and navy blue and white school uniform!

Was able to completely miss the wonderful "Trendy" 80s Clothing.

The stuff in the shops is a nightmare! Give me good old Laura Ashley any day!

Hmm, never thought of myself as trendy. This is how people (women) who liked hard rock looked. I had very tight striped pants (home made) trousers with this (the shirt reaches to mid-thigh).
The earrings are cool aren't they? I lost them piece by piece at different parties. They were 14cm long and I miss them even though I never wear earrings these days.

*grin* In the 80s I was a tiny toddler, so fortunately I escaped wanting to look like Pat Benatar. The picture is actually quite cool though.

Except my hair was short at the back, I wore a hideous shade of bruise-colored lipstick, and I had a scarf wrapped around my head.

My lipsticks were also usually more blueish than what was really good looking on me (or anybody) and I did of course sometimes have a neon green chiffon scarf around my head.
