I've finished the yellow bliaut, except for lacing holes, it will be sewn together at the sides this weekend. Hopefully I will be able to take some pictures for my web site.
I have also just finished my lecture for the event. It's called "Courtly fashion and homespun wool - costume 1150-1250" and is about clothing in Sweden and Norway during those hundred years, compared with european fashion.
I wasn't supposed to give a lecture at this event but one of the other speakers couldn't so I volunteered. I thought I was just going to be able to use an old lecture that I had given at a museum earlier, but it turned out I had to change a lot. The museum lecture was directed toward people who knew little or nothing about medieval clothing while people attending a Nordrike event of course know a lot more.
Now I have to pack. The event starts already today, but I thought it would be a little much to sleep two nights a way from home with Maja but without Rickard (he's working) so I'm going there tomorrow. I'm getting picked up by car so I don't have to carry all my stuff + Maja on the bus.

Oh, and today one of my best friends at work defended his doctor's dissertation. It went well. Maja started talking (not crying)when there was maybe half an hour left so I had to go out, but I heard the rest went well too.

Maja doesn't sleep too well now, she wakes and eats with two hours in between only, so I'm rather sleepy.
She got another tooth today, so now she's got two.

Hmm, I'll think about it.
When I get back after the weekend. However, Margurie's pages (http://jauncourt.i8.com/costume.htm) is the best on line source I know of. Start there if you haven't already found them.
