I think they are actually waearable and the one on the right is very attractive)... but on the whole... Not *practical in any form.

But then, neiher were ruffs the first time around- pure fashion with no practical application.

Oh I love it! Look at the underskirt on the right...it looks like a giant ruff fallen over into a skirt. Not sure we'll see these being sported at the local green grocer's, but quite an interesting look. After all...RUFFS! WOOT!! Wonder if farthingales can be far behind... ;>

Interesting that the middle outfit actually HAS the lines of an Elizabethan man's outfit. When I saw it at first glance I thought it was meant to be a doublet with Venetians!
