frualeydis: (18th century)

I'm still feeling rather ill, so I spend most of my time either lying down resting or sewing at a slow pace. The latter means that what needs to be done on the 18th century coat is the button holes and buttons. I could wear it open for the masquerade so I think I will start decorating the hat instead. In fact I may have to wear it open, since I calculated too little ease when I cut the pieces after the toile. It may work out, and maybe not, but since I weigh 2-3 kilos more than I did in the beginning of the autumn I don't see this as a problem that can't be overcome; I will probably lose them again in the spring and then the coat will be looser too.
The pocket flaps look good.

Pirates don't have to bother with such things as buttonholes, they can wear a belt! I'm looking forward to seeing photos of you in full pirate regalia :)

It will be very pastel-y, the only wool I had at home that wasn't intended for some otehr project is pale pink. An the lining is lilac silk dupioni :)
