Went to "hytta" in the weekend. Found a local history book, "Hemgrenda 2008", published by Ringebu Historielag, in which there was an article by Marianne Vedeler about grave clothes in Ringebu stavkirke. I couldn't find the article itself on google, but here is a link to the book: http://www.dolen.no/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=843&Itemid=26 I think the burials were a bit later than the medieval period, though. I didn't read it so closely because it had scary pictures.
I didn't bring the book to Oslo, but I can ask Dad to bring it if you are interested, or want more information.
That would be really nice, if you want to leave Bishop's Stortford; I don't think it's likely that Valeria wants to travel outside London. I'm not sure I can convince her to see Hampton Court even, which otherwise is on my list.
