Seriously impressed

My friend's daughter Siri is, who's in third grade of high school, studying at a programme with a profile on sewing made a collection for the school's fashion show as her project this year. Now some of the clothes have been photographed and can be found here. Some crappy photos from the show can be found here(mine) and here (not the last one).
It's way too fashion-y for me to wear, but I can still appreciate the creativity and style. Everything is made from wool and silk, except the obvious pvc and the workmanship is really, really good. And she hasn't finished high school yet!

The sweater in the first pic is awesome! And her name is very interesting to me.

Random: There is a very famous top model called Siri Tollerod. She's from Norway and ranks #25 in models.com's Top 50 Fashion Models ranking.

Glad that you liked it. I can see why, since you do so much knitting yourself. She crocheted it from reallty thin yarn.

Siri is a much more common name in Norway than in Sweden, and it was more common in the 50s than it is now.

I know 3 Siris, 2 from the late 60s and one from the early 70s :)
There are 8208 women named Siri. It was most popular just before 1990 :) yes, I looked it up at Statistisk Sentralbyrå.

Wow. I'm very impressed. I hope she is able to make a career out of it. I'll keep my eyes open for her in Milan.
