There will be new 18th century clothing

In a break from reading Dress of the people I dug out my printed linen/cotton in a repro 18th century pattern to see how much I actually had bought. I was afraid that I had only bought enough for an apron, but I had actually bought five metres! So I will make a new anglaise gown (since then I won't have to make a new pattern) to be worn at an 18th century picnic that's happening in May, possibly too soon, I can't remember. If I'm short for time I will use the red skirt that belongs to my folk costume as petticoat. I already have a nice apron and linen kerchief for my other 18th century dress and I linen cap which will be worn under a wide brimmed straw hat that I just ordered.
