Glasses tried out and ordered

And will arrive in ten days. They're from a low-price chain called smarteyes and the frames are ok; in fact I will probably get used to them very quickly. I just don't look forward to ten more days with contacts. There's nothing wrong with wearing contacts, I'm just not used to it. In any case I didn't have ot pay an arm and a leg; they cost 1385 SEK, which is about 130 pounds.

I can't understand why spectacles have to be SO expensive! I've had to fork out over near enough £200 for a new pair because my sight has deteriorated enough to warrant a new prescription (that was one expensive whack on the head!). Only bought a new pair last October!
