Practice I think. I also think that some kind of smoothing product would be a good idea if you have fine hair like me. When I go to London next week I will also look around for rats for the rolls, not so much for volume but because it's easier to roll the hair around something than around ones fingers.

That style looks good on you. You could almost wear it day-to-day and not look like you're in costume. :-)
