do you happen to have any tips for doing 1940's clothes? I'm thinking about making the pants in Simplicity pattern 4044, maybe. I'd try the blouse, but I suck at sleeves. Thanks

I really don't have any special tips - except forgetting the medieval/renaissance way of doing things and actullay follow the instructions. That has been a problem for me, because I by habit start assembling the main body parts, not realizing that sometimes some detail ought to be done first.

LOL! Unfortunately, by the time I bought the pattern, notions and the fabric I liked, it's easier to just find someone who makes something like that. Alas. Thank heavens for etsy.com!
