frualeydis: (16th century)
[personal profile] frualeydis
My article (right now around 20 pages (12 points, 1,5 line space including pictures and references) is getting near the finished stage. Tomorrow I will finish the text, print it and then read it over the weekend. Changes ought to be done by Tuesday.
But I need help:

1. As always I need help from those of you who are native english speakers to improve the language.

2. Where should I publish it? In the beginning I thought of something less ambitious, but I actually think that it's a rather good short, but scientific, article. If it had been in swedish I think I could have come up with something, but it isn't, so where should I try to get it published? Compleat anachronist? Or would Your wardrobe Unlock'd be interested, Marion? Or do you have any other suggestions. I could just publish it on my web site, but I don't know how many it would reach and it always looks better if it's published somewhere and people take it more seriously.

Help?

Send it to me and I'll see if it would work for us, but Compleat Anachronist might be a better fit.

you could see if Renaissance Magazine has links to sites or would publish it...

Jo, men då behöver den vara på svenska och då försvinner ju lite av poängen.

I'm not scheduled to do anything this weekend, and I'm here in India specifically to teach proper English. If you want me to look it over let me know.

It won't be that finished until next week, but if you can then I'd be glad if you could help me.

No problem. Let me know when you're ready for some proof reading and I'll see what I can do for you.

My teaching term starts again next week, but I'm always willing to read and advise on language.

What about the journal Textile History?
