A nearly finished dress
Aug. 31st, 2009 09:10 pmOver a year ago
ashariel gifted me with a vintage 1940s sewing pattern. Since I'm really not very experienced when it comes to using real, store-bought patterns it has waited quite a long time. After a few successful attempts with self-made patterns for 1940s clothing I finally felt ready to tackle it. I still need to make the belt, but since I didn't have a suitable buckle at home that had to wait until tomorrow. The shoes are wrong of course and I really ought to be wearing stockings and possibly a snood in some other colour than burnt orange. But leaving all those things aside I'm pretty happy with it - and I finally made something from my Liberty print cotton.
