Sleepless

Today (or tomorrow, depends on how you see it)is the day of my grandmother's funeral. That probably explains me being up at 3.30, unable to sleep. Maybe I've slept one hour tonight, but I doubt it. Everything feels wrong when I try to sleep, my hair gets in the way, it's either too cold or too warm, my belly is uncooperative when I'm trying to find a comfortable way to lay (and that really shouldn't be a problem already) etc etc.
Well, since I can't sleep I'll surf the internet for a while. I'll just have to be very tired in the church. I don't think I'll be the only one, I doubt my mother's sleeping now for example.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma, I read about your previous entry about her passing, it made me think of my own grandma, who's still alive but getting up there in years.
I hope you are able to get some sleep so you will be able to be awake tomorrow. Funerals are never fun, but I find that they help to deal with the grief.

No, I didn't sleep anymore, but I'm sort of okay anyway. I'm even considering staying up to watch "Mission to Mars" which they show on TV at 9 tonight.
There was lots of singing in the funeral service which is good because then you can concentrate on that instead of crying. I defintely sang more hymns today (8) than I have for at least a decade.
