And as usual when I'm writing about something I want to sew it - in this case more "viking" clothing.

When my husband and I traveled to the first Drachenwald coronation, we were disappointed to see how few viking outfits there were (as in, I think we were the only ones!). Someone told us that by the time they were done with school, they were sick and tired of vikings and wanted to explore other areas!

It's an a article which proposes that the change of dress in Scandinavia around 1000 CE wasn't a consequence of the conversion, as practically all scholars claim, disregarding that whe have christian burials at least from the 8th century, but of changing policial allegiances. In a larger perspective it argues for the usefulness of studying dress when one wants to know about changing ideas and ideals in a society.
