When a woman is tired of fabric...

I survived yesterday, but just barely. I think you can appreciate how tired I was when I was in Boras, the best place for buying fabric, especially fine wool, cheaply in this country, and I decided to find the rest room at the university and take a nap instead of going out to the shopping area.
It might even be something more serious than that, because I feel that I have enough fabric!!
Yes, you read that right, I don't think I need more fabric. It must be really serious, maybe even deadly.
I mean, objectively, I do have enough fabric for anybody, but it hasn't felt like that before. And it's been like that all the time since I cam home from London with my new silk.

I really should be working on my 18th century dress, but I think I will have to face that I don't have the energy to finish it by friday, which means it probably won't be finished until after the baby is born.

I think I'll just get a cup of tea and watch "Days Of Our Lives" instead.

Too much fabric...

Never thought it would happen to me either - then we built an extension ont the house for the sewing room and a fabric-storage room... when we came to move the fabric into the new rooms and I realized how much I had accumulated over the years (some in friends houses, some in the form of velvet curtains and tremporarily hanging at friends' windows who had recently bought new places and hadn't curtains of their own yet, some stacked up in the other overcrowede rooms of our house) *then* I came to the conclusion that I already had too much fabric.

I still buy it when I see a bargain too good to pass up, but not nearly as much as I used to be irrisitably tempted by - and I have less problem with sharing it around - selling it on to friends who hare looking for fabrics for their costumes etc.
So you aren't alone, others get tot hat point too.
