A productive weekend
Nov. 17th, 2003 09:48 amThis has been a very productive weekend. I have:
* Read a very new doctoral thesis from the Department of Religious studies at Gothenburg University;"From Darkness to Light. Western Esoteric Rituals of Initiation" by Henrik Bogdan. It was interesting. It studies the history of masonic initiation rituals and their influence on other groups.
* Spent ten hours sorting stuff from my grandmother's flat. It's in no way finished though, but my mother and my aunt will do the rest of it.
* Done most of the work on my red wool 12th century dress. I have sewn it together, hemmed it and put trim around the neck (a lovely trim, I'll try to get pictures when I'm finished)and around half of one of the 1,5 m long hanging sleeves. What's left is the lacing holes and putting trim around both sleeves. I have to make lacing cords too (lucet, made with your fingers), but in all there's not much left to do. So it will definitely be finished for Gotvik's autumn feast on the 28th.
