What silk should I buy?
Nov. 29th, 2004 12:28 pmSince the dollar now is only worth 6,8 swedish crowns, compared to 7,4 last month this might be the perfect time to buy some silk from Denver fabrics. It's just that I don't know what to buy, because I don't know what I want to sew from it. Except that I want 1 yard of this to line a buttoned hood in periwinkle wool. wouldn't this be a nice veil for the 12th century when they still had coloured veils? Or this, but I think it's a little warm for my colouring.
So please tell what I should buy (not limited to those above) and why.

Date: 2004-11-29 06:28 am (UTC)I can see you in a taffeta dress with a fairly fitted bodice and a calf-length fairly full skirt (perhaps several flared panels with a bit of gather at the waist, but not enough to make it look bulky). What you would wear such a dress for, I don't know, but, from seeing pictures of you, I could definately see you in something like that....
... with shoes dyed to match... or possibly with a contrast trim on the dress and shoes dyed to match the trim.
