Silk ordered

Since I need to save money for christmas and birthday presents I decided not to spend a lot of money on silk taffeta, even though guyelfkin is perfectly right in that I should buy this taffeta. But that will have to be later. When I have more money and maybe also a clear purpose for the fabric, except just petting it.
So what I ordered was:
For lining my light periwinkle 14th century buttoned hood: berry red habotai
For veils:
pink georgette, turqouise chiffon and blue chiffon.
And I just remembered that I forgot to order a swatch of this fur . Darn! I needed to know how thick it is and how stiff the backside knit is.
Well, another time.

And my feet are hurting like hell! I want drugs!

holy cow... that is like... obscenely cheap silk: 6 dollars times 7 Skr = 42 Skr/metre and that is over-estimating the price! I am having a -very- hard time restraining myself. Augh! Hold me back! I have no money.

I have a yard or two of that blue/green taffeta. It's positively delicious! I'd buy more if I had a specific project in mind for it, and if I hadn't just blown $230 on other fabrics...

I so want 5-7 yards of that for an under-kirtle for my Tudors... If its still there in February I am getting some. Can you see it with goldwork around the hem? yeah...

Argh.. I'm so kicking myself right now.. I had a chance to snaffle up habotai (china silk here) for $NZ5/m!

That is terribly tempting though... in a pale green it would be perfect for the Mina gown.... hmmmmm...
