Of course I found out, after finishing every seam on the kirtle that it was too loose in the bodice. Some ripping and resewing later I hope it will fit better. The photos are, however, taken before this. I'm also wearing the wrong smock, no headwear etc. But it looks promising.

Are you going to make the awesome slit sleeves in the portrait? I just love those.

I don't think that they are slit, but more like bands worn over the smock, since the bands aren't connected. They could be whole sleeves with fake puffs of course, but I'll try the band version first.
