Finished with my red cotte
Dec. 2nd, 2004 11:48 pmMy early 14th century pinkish red cotte is finished. A snapshot can be seen here. Of course I plan to take better photos and put it in the costume gallery later. It is made from a very thin plain weave wool and lined with an even thinner grey wool (thinner than the black wool I sent to you, Sarah). The grey lining can be seen under my left (your right) arm, where it is visible in the nursing slit. The nursing slit will be held close by a belt. The cotte will also mostly be worn with a blue sleeveless surcoat so the slit won't be seen at all.

Date: 2004-12-03 02:04 am (UTC)Actually, I had bought the fabric before Anna and I got into "Color me beautiful", but it is one of the colours of my "seasonal palette"
I have bought 3 metres of wool in the same colour but with a slightly creped look to make a mundane evening dress.
Thanks for the compliment, I blush BTW.
