Fixing things

When I packed up my summer dresses I really saw how much too wide the shoulders are on this dress that I made after a vintage sewing pattern. So yesterday I removed the shoulder pads, unpicked the seams and cut away c. 3 cm on each side of the back piece. Then today I gathered the front pieces to match and sewed it all together. I need to get better shoulder pads, but the dress really looks much better now. It's still a bit too wide in the bodice, but I can't be bothered to change that.
Now I just wonder where I put the fabric remnants so that I can make a belt.
