Another 1940s dress

I'm making another dress from Simplicity 3689, which I got from
ashariel.
As you know I have used this pattern before, for my dress in the William Morris fabric. But as I had to do quite a lot of revisions after I had made the dress and really hate unpicking things and changing them after I'm finished I decided to make a new mock-up and change the bodice pattern.
The changes were the usual: I made the shoulders much narrower, took it in at the sides under the armscyes and added a centimetre in length. This pattern hasn't got bust darts so I didn't have to do any changes there. The shaping is one with pleats and gathers at the waist and shoulders. I will probably use another skirt pattern, because last time I hade to take it in lots in the waist - I don't know how they thought when they made that part of the pattern.
Anyway, here's a photo of the fabric I'm using.
