"Concentrate on the shoulders" is the name of this pattern from the 1930s, from the book A stitch in time 1. Vintage Knitting and Crochet Patterns 1920-1949.
But honestly? Isn't that a bit superfluous - how could anyone avoid concentrating on these shoulders? Or indeed see anything else than these shoulders?

Oh my. Those shoulders are huge, and my eyes went there by default. I love the color, though, and I think I love the general shape of the sweater.

Yes, I knitted it this spring. I also tried to make one of those skirt, but I made it too "mermaid-shaped" and I gave up on it. I think I will make a mid-calf length skirt that widens a little below the knee. After I've made my new 16th century jacket and my grey wool 50s skirt.
