Bras in the 15th century

I am not going to the NESAT conference in Esslingen next May - my current research project doesn't really fit in and I don't go to conferences where I don't contribute (plus that I have very little money) but this might be the most interesting thing I've heard of for a decade.

Wow, that IS interesting! I'm very curious on their actual look, seeing how some looked very much like modern versions and some were more different. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! Very interesting. Given the variety of names for undergarments in the 16thC it doesn't surprise me that these appear. Just more surprised that they survived. I would love to know what the other finds were.

Isn't it just awesome to consider the possibilities? I devoutly hope that it doesn't take 2 years for that NESAT proceedings to come out.

It probably will, it takes time to make a report, with gettign all the submissions in and then people must edit their texts, sometimes several times etc, etc, but I rely on people to give me some kind of report from the conference. The really interesting thing will of couse be when her dissertation is finished.

I can't wait to hear the reports from the conference. Knowing the slowness of NESAT, her dissertation will probably be published before the proceedings are out!
