I'm making Maja a gingerbread girl dress for Lucia. I'm making it from brown cotton sheeting and white wide ric-rac trim. It shouldn't be too difficult.
In other sewign news I have finished my berry pink/red rayon dress and as soon as my hair is dry I will take a photo of me in it. I really, really like the model and will probably make lots more.
And in non-sewing news Rickard and I are going to go see Teenage Fanclub tonight.

*winces*
It does sound like a cool tradition though. We don't have anything like that here in Canada, at least as far as I know. I hope your daughter has fun.
