Lacy knit dress

If you don't want to do as koshka_the_cat and knit a repro Regency dress you may want to knit a lace dress/tunic inspired by Jane Austen's heroines?
My friend Carolien has designed a lace dress inspired by Jane Austen's works and it is very pretty, though not really empire fashion. See here
