It's incredibly dark here now that the snow has rained away. I miss the white snow and cold, clear days.

Down here we have no snow - just unending sunlight, and grey trees, and yello grass. Snow would give it a much prettier look. :)

I wouldn't mind a little sunlight though - the sun rises at 8.43 (though it's too foggy to see anything now) and sets at 16.06 right now, so we really need the snow to make it lighter.

I agree -- you don't exactly notice that the sun is rising earlier. It was much brighter around the solstice than it is now, almost a month along. I don't like these days when it seems to be twilight all day.

We still have some snow, but it's getting less by the minute... Dry, fluffy snow is much better than ice covered with a thin film of water...

That is one reason that I am glad not to live that far north. I'd love the summers with the long light days, but I'd hate the dark winters.
