Sewing is my drug

It works as an anti-depressant and a as stress reileif and without it I wouldn't survive. Not with one dperessed teenager and one who just refuses to go to school. I will also be unemployed from the 4th of April next year, but since I live in a civilized country and am a union member we will only be poor, not disastrously poor by that, since I get unemployment benefits. And if I'm lucky the application for research funding that I just sent in with two other PhDs, one in economic history and one etnology, may be approved. It is unlikely, since only 5 % get funding, but it is a good research project.
But, to get back to the sewing: I am currently making a princess line 1940s house dress from a Mail Order pattern that I won in the New Vintage Lady blog a year ago or so. Of course, since I am very curvy and not just fat I had to change the pattern a lot, but I think it will turn out well and then I'll have princess line pattern that fit me, which is really useful.
I should be finished in two days and then I'll take photos.
