[livejournal.com profile] guyelfkin took this test so of course I had to follow.
You scored as Middle Class. You're content in your position and would prefer a house or a family than a seven figure pay cheque. But you have your moments of weakness when you buy a lottery ticket in the hope of knowing how the rich and famous live.

At least "alternative" comes second. Actually, it's pretty much how I would describe myself, a revolutionary who has become an adult and also started class-climbing.

More fabric

Since I have now bought fabric from Denverfabrics I also get their newsletter/advertising via mail. This will be Very Bad for me and prove my undoing. I want this to make a late 18th-early 19th century dress from. If it's not too heavy, ounces say nothing to me and ounces per yard is just too much converting.
Another fabric I would like to have very much is some silk metallic organza.
Aargh, so much fabric, so little money. And no place to keep it either. Or time enough to sew. And where on earth would I put all my costumes?

My early 14th century pinkish red cotte is finished. A snapshot can be seen here. Of course I plan to take better photos and put it in the costume gallery later. It is made from a very thin plain weave wool and lined with an even thinner grey wool (thinner than the black wool I sent to you, Sarah). The grey lining can be seen under my left (your right) arm, where it is visible in the nursing slit. The nursing slit will be held close by a belt. The cotte will also mostly be worn with a blue sleeveless surcoat so the slit won't be seen at all.
