Today is the day

Today is the last game for the season. If we win by one goal, and Djurgården doesn't make more than 4-0 on their opponents we win the league. It's eleven years since last time. My team is meeting one of the teams at the bottom of the league, but that doesn't mean that it's easy: nerves can do much damage and the teams in the bottom of the league can have good games as well as the leaders can play really badly. Like we did on Monday; but we did win. Djurgården also meets one of the bottom teams, and a team that in reality functions as their "farmer's team"; where they send not-so-good players and pick up the best. I hope that Brommapojkarna, as they're called, will do their best, but I don't count on it. So it would be very good if we scored at least two goals.
I haven't been really nervous until today, because in all likelihood we should win; but now all the "ifs" and "buts" are showing up in my mind.
Well, soon we will know, the game starts at 3 pm.

In other words: We won the league!!!!!!

And now, after four hours in pouring rain, including watching my friend Anders taking a bath in the biggest fountain on the main street I am home and have also taken a hot bath. Hubby is making Pytt i panna, which is the food eaten by IFK whenever they win the league, and soon I will open up a bottle of real Champagne, from the region of Champagne, which I got as a present from the opponent at my viva voce. I will also go to the shop to get some beer. 

ETA: 1. Of course I took part in the pitch invasion.
       2. We didn't open the champagne after all, but I had three beers. Now we're off to bed, Rickard  
          starts work at seven tomorrow.
