In other words: We won the league!!!!!!

And now, after four hours in pouring rain, including watching my friend Anders taking a bath in the biggest fountain on the main street I am home and have also taken a hot bath. Hubby is making Pytt i panna, which is the food eaten by IFK whenever they win the league, and soon I will open up a bottle of real Champagne, from the region of Champagne, which I got as a present from the opponent at my viva voce. I will also go to the shop to get some beer. 

ETA: 1. Of course I took part in the pitch invasion.
       2. We didn't open the champagne after all, but I had three beers. Now we're off to bed, Rickard  
          starts work at seven tomorrow.

Caraco was the name of a hip length jacket (not the exact word, but it's hard to get the right nuances when translating) with pleats in the back. The word caraco was probably not used for this long "jacket" in Denmark. The Caraco (as a garment, my comment) has it's origin in Nantes in Bretagne, where it was common among bourgeoise women. After 1768 it became modern and poular outside of Nantes (interesting exact date there...), it was most popular in the 1780s. A caraco was not for formal wear, but a garment worn at home and as everyday clothing. The white caraco is from the 1770s and comes from hte rich merchant family Schlegel.

Thank you... thank you.. thank you... :) I will forward onto friend who wanted the translation... she couldn't find anyone who could translate Danish and none of the online language programs were of any help either... thanks again
