I have now found the rejection letter from one of the institutions I applied for research funding from. It came in October and I have not read it. I already knew I didn't get money from them and just after I got the rejection from Riksbanken (the fund I had most of a chance with) I didn't have the strength to read it. But now, when I'm going to send in a new, better application I must read it. Except that I don't dare.
I think I will sit down and sew for a while instead.

it is not personal - in many cases it is not even someone in the same field who reads and rejects the applications just someone matching a criteria list...
read it and then recheck your application - you can always reapply to the same funds!

That's what I'm goint to do, and that's why I have to read it, since it's most likely the same people who's in the committe this year and something they do check is if you have listened to what they had to say about the application.

I often feel like that as well: when there's something I absolutely don't wanna do (but which I HAVE to do), I feel like sewing....
