I love that the wheel has turned and that it is lighter now again. Two weeks ago, at winter solstice, you could only see the reflection of the sun, hiding behind the horizon, at this time of day; now it's light outside.

This day promises to be a clear, bright day, still too warm of course, but other than that.

This is a little complicated to answer, since my main activity is in a break-away group from the SCA, and has been so since 1995. I am a member of the SCA though. But many of the questions are so general and the groups so alike that the answer can be the same. I will tell which group I mean, if there is a difference.

I finally saw Marie Antoinette last night, together with [livejournal.com profile] herzeloyde and Kristian. I liked it, not loved it, but liked it well enough to want to see it again. And I really loved the costumes, both the historical elements and the fantasy/modern elements. I think the music worked well too. The birthday party, when they went to see the sunrise and drink threw me back to my own late teens/early twenties and drinking outdoors, watching the sun rise. The outdoors midnight party on the other hand reminded me of Visby medieval week. Of course those scenes have very little in common with my experiences, but the feeling I got was the same.

I have pinned half the skirt to my anglaise dress and will now put the stays back on Sophy (my dummy) so I can try it on with the new and improved false rump.
